Testimonials

Julian Robinson

Administrator, Munster Med-In

Muncie, Indiana

"Im thankful we had insurance that put us in a position for the future. Had we not had that, we would have not have survived the flood. That’s the truth. We might not have had the type of coverages we did had it not been for Spiris, who developed and proposed those coverages."

"I have worked with Spiris for several years and have found their organization to be a great partner and advocate for our Industry. It is critical these days to align yourself with other organizations that can bring you the best product that meets your ongoing needs. Spiris is a creative company that can certainly bring a product to your table that fits your business philosophy and financial needs. And more importantly, once the deal is struck, Spiris keeps working for you to find a better product if one is out there. I define this as staying on the cutting edge of the insurance market."

Muncie Mission Benefits From Charity Auction

With a multi-service program that gives out more than 65,000 meals annually, houses homeless men in recovery and offers family services, Muncie Mission Ministries Inc. needs ongoing support.

Part of it recently came via a charity auction where Mark Glover purchased a fly-over contributed by Dave Hutchison at Spiris.

"We raise about 58 percent of our funds through our Attic Window (a resale shop) and New Life Center, a recycling program that trains men on how to hold a job," says Don Ford, development director. The rest comes from United Way, special events and private donations.

Men's Recovery Program

Begun 79 years ago, Muncie Mission's largest program is men's life recovery, which last November moved into a new facility shared with the organization's administrative offices. "We're at the highest level we've ever been," Ford says, now serving nearly 70 men, who come primarily from a six-county area, but also Ohio and Michigan.

"We take men out of the garbage of life and give them an opportunity to recover," Ford says. "All you have to do is follow the program. We give them time to rest their bodies and their souls."

Men walk in the mission's door totally distraught with no where to go, no where to turn, he says. "They've given up on everything in life and they think the world has given up on them as well. We lead men to a relationship with Christ first and second to recovery. And we see miracles every day."

Lunch, Family Services Programs

Muncie Mission, headed by pastor and executive directory Ray Raines, also serves lunch every day to people who come in off the street. "They listen to a short Bible study in a chapel service, then eat free," Ford says.

"We also are very strong in family services. It's an exploding area, people needing assistance." The mission provides clothing, furniture, appliances and food. "This is a very, very critical area."
